Virtual Lecture | Becoming a Water Wise Arboretum

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday September 20

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

We invite you to join us for a virtual lecture by BTA Executive Director, Lynne Nemeth on becoming a Water Wise Arboretum. When William Boyce Thompson founded the Arboretum 98 years ago, Arizona’s weather and climate were vastly different than today’s. Spring comes earlier now, and with it, higher temperatures which impacts well production, decreases our water levels, increases the instances of fires and floods, and further threatens our rare and already threatened species. This virtual lecture details the work we have already begun to prepare for the future of climate change and become a national model for water conservation and riparian preservation.

This event is free and open to the public.

Advance registration is required.
